About us

Far Away Wine & Provisions is a passion project from 2 long time wine industry professionals, Chris French & Pat Jasmin.   Conceived during (and because of) the Covid pandemic, we showcase an ever rotating selection of small production, family owned, artisan wines from around the world.  

A joint 50+ in the food & wine industry in Arizona, Chris and Pat almost met many times over the years before finally becoming fast friends working together at a fine wine distributor in 2007.  In 2020 Pat had been working for her own wine brokerage for a few years, but the wear and tear of business travel made her long for a brick and mortar operation.  When Chris’ position at a local wine distributor was eliminated due to the pandemic the idea for Far Away was born.  

Named for a Rolling Stones song (Far Away Eyes) we created this space as a neighborhood wine & beer hangout with great music, a thoughtful and delicious food menu and a comfortable “living room” style vibe.
